Welcome to the Public Administration Program

The Master of Public Administration program is a top-rated online Master's level public administration program noted for its rigor, quality of instruction, and student support. Designed to provide a comprehensive and relevant multi-disciplinary curriculum, the Master of Public Administration program is designed for students who would like to improve their skills to manage and lead non-profits, NGOs, and government organizations at the federal, state and local levels. Norwich University's Master of Public Administration offers students experienced instructors with extensive managerial experience and a staff committed to their educational success. Our mission is to prepare tomorrow's leaders for the demanding and complex field of public administration.

Public service has always been a part of Norwich University. The tradition of service at Norwich has its roots in the vision of our founder Alden Partridge, who gave the American educational system a new model that focused on public service, leadership and experiential learning. This vision led first to the Corps of Cadets and then the creation of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). The long-held values of Norwich University emphasize initiative, integrity, discipline, honor and loyalty — all key elements to success in the field of Public Administration. Those same values are infused into the Master of Public Administration program curriculum, lived by the faculty and support staff, and expected from the students.

The Master of Public Administration program balances the rigor and academic quality needed to maintain and respect Norwich University's heritage with the flexible online classroom structure. Coursework focuses on leadership development, organizational management, strategic planning, conflict management, ethics, legal issues, human resources, fiscal planning and financial management.
